Seems that space travel can be a pretty longsome thing. The graphic shows how long it would take to get to the sun, the planets or the nearest star assuming a speed of around 324,000 km per hour (the maximum velocity you can reach by ion propulsion, i. e. by today’s most advanced engines). Infographic realized for the science magazine “Address: Milky Way” on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Physical Society (DPG).
